Dr. Purman is from Frankenmuth, Michigan. She completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Central Michigan University and then went on to complete another undergraduate degree in Vision Science from Nova Southeastern University.
She subsequently completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University. Where she graduated with honors and was part of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and Gold Key International Honor Society. Dr. Purman also co-authored an article titled, “The Undercover Cataract” for the Review of Optometry in the November 2019 addition during her residency at OMNI eye services in Atlanta where she specialized in ocular disease.
As an associate of Pathway Eye Chattanooga, Dr. Purman will provide excellent service to all her patients. Dr. Purman treats conditions including dry eye, glaucoma, and infections. She has participated in pre-op and post-op Lasik/PRK care. She also performs diabetic eye exams. She enjoys treating patients of all ages.
In her spare time, Dr. Purman loves knitting, reading, hiking, and spending time with her three month old nephew.
