Dr. Davis is a native of Limestone County, Alabama. He was a student in the Athens City School system and graduated from Athens High School in 1992. He accepted a golf scholarship to attend Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee. In 1997 Dr. Davis received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. His study then led to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.

Dr. Heather Thigpen Sutton was born and raised in Florence, Alabama where she attended Brooks High School prior to accepting academic scholarships to the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She graduated UAH Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. 

Dr. Smith attended Athens High School followed by four years at Auburn University culminating with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences. After Auburn, he attended Southern College of Optometry (SCO) to receive his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2020. 

Dr. Taylor graduated as Valedictorian and “graduate of the year” from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 2015. She then went on to complete her post-graduate residency training in ocular disease at the Columbus and Chillicothe Ohio VA facilities. She also recently obtained her fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Spencer Sechler is a native of Warren, Ohio. He attended the University of Akron and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the Honors College in 2012. He received his doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry with honors in 2016. 

Dr. Purman is from Frankenmuth, Michigan. She completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science from Central Michigan University and then went on to complete another undergraduate degree in Vision Science from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Brandon Alderton was born and raised in Cumberland, Maryland where he worked alongside his father at their family’s optical. He attended Southern College of Optometry and received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2020. While at school, he met his wife, a Huntsville native, and they moved to the area.
